A terribly tragic accident took place in Singapore on Father’s Day (18 June) and the whole nation is extremely heartbroken.
It was truly an unfortunate day for this particular family as they ended up in an accident that resulted in the death of the 38-year-old mother, STOMP reported.
The family of five were on their way to VivoCity Shopping Centre on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) when the car in front of them suddenly hit the brakes.
To avoid colliding into the black car in front, the 37-year-old husband swerved their car to the left. Unfortunately, their vehicle knocked into a divider and made a 360-degree turn.
There was a motorcycle nearby that the man reportedly tried to avoid hitting.
“I was worried that we would kill or injure the motorcyclist on the leftmost lane and tried my best to avoid colliding into him.
“It was fortunate our vehicle didn’t hit him.”
Their eldest son, 9, was seated in the front seat while their second son, 6, was seated behind the father. The mother was holding onto their youngest son, 3, on the other side of the back seat.
Tragically, the mother and youngest child were flung out of the car during the impact.
“During the accident, she (my wife) held onto our youngest son so tightly…”
The woman unfortunately died on the spot.
Meanwhile, all three children and father were immediately transferred to the hospital for treatment. The man and his two older sons thankfully escaped with minor injuries.
However, the youngest child suffered some head and back injuries. Luckily, reports confirmed that he is now in stable condition and all the kids are physically stable.

“She took care of everything in the house and sent our kids to school every day. She also helped me out with my administrative matters so I can focus on my work.
