A mother is protective by nature and will do whatever it takes to protect her children. However, the exact opposite happened in this gruesome murder that took everyone by horror.

On January 15, an Indonesian mother who was under tremendous stress, stabbed her 2-year-old son 28 times to death after allegedly hearing a whisper. The incident happened at Jalan Deli Tua Melayu, Deli Medan in Indonesia.

According to eberita, the mother, Pretty Juliana, 32, has been staying with her brother, Sutan, 39 and his wife for a long time. She only moved out when she was married. However, Juliana came back after her husband left her.

When the incident happened, Juliana admitted that she saw a robber’s shadow coming into her brother’s house and heard a mysterious whisper ‘Kill! Kill! Kill!’ by her ears at the same time.

She then took 2 knives and stabbed the robber, which happened to be her son.

She reportedly seemed as if she was possessed and didn’t know the person she’s stabbing was her son, Muhammad Altahir. After that, Juliana pointed her knife at Sutan’s children who were at home.

Sutan’s children, Jafa, 10 and Radit, 8 screamed and frantically ran to their mother, Melisa who was outside the house. The children lost their words and could only point at the house.

Melisa went in only to discovered Altahir’s dead body with his intestine exposed while Juliana sat beside the dead body holding two knives that were covered in blood. Melisa immediately asked for their neighbour’s help and called the police.

Autopsy report showed that the boy died after losing too much blood due to the stabbing wounds on his chest and abdomen.

Initial investigation revealed that Juliana was hallucinating about a robber trying to rob their place. She also claimed that she didn’t kill her son but instead killed a robber.

“She was stressed out because her husband abandoned her and she has been diagnosed with cancer. We tried to help her but it wasn’t working,” said Melisa.

“When the incident happened, I went out to buy some rice. I still can’t believe she did that. Something must have been messing with her mind,” said Sutan.

According to the Indonesian authority, Juliana might not face any criminal charges due to her mental instability. Moreover, statements from a few witnesses stated that Juliana never treated Altahir harshly or beat him. Hence, Juliana most likely committed the crime unconsciously.
