Melaka is famous for their many tourist attractions, which includes their delicious food, Jonker Walk and not forgetting their popular resort.
While it has long been a favourite among both locals and foreigners alike, recently, a post on social media went viral when a family who vacationed there suffered serious injuries at the water park.

This family of 10 from Johor visited the resort for a holiday and spent some time in the water park there. According to the post, the whole family was happily playing in the park since 1pm when the unfortunate incident took place at 5.45pm.
The older sister, Xiao Jia Wen, recounts the incident that happened to her two younger siblings, Xiao Jia Wei and Xiao Jia Feng, on their supposedly ‘fun’ family day out.

“At that time, we were sitting on those number 8-shaped floats and going down the artificial river, and I was on the float behind them. There were some big waves coming up, which rushed up to us and we were submerged in the water. When we could stand up, I was shocked to see that both Jia Wei and Jia Feng was badly injured.”
“Seeing both of them bleeding excessively, I could not think of anything else but to quickly bring them for treatment. However, there was no staff nearby and we only managed to find one after walking for some time and they brought us to the first aid room.”

Their injuries were too serious and the staff instructed them to be sent to the hospital for treatment. At the hospital, the doctor informed them that the wounds were too deep and they were not equipped to handle it, so he advised them to head to a private hospital instead.
Jia Wen also said, “The management of the resort did not even bother about our incident or show any concern for our situation. There has been no apology or explanation for our accident; the management is really irresponsible.”

She ends her post by warning people to stay away from that particular area in the resort as they still do not know what caused her siblings’ injuries. In the gruesome photos she shared, her siblings seem to have suffered cuts and lacerations on their hands and legs, which looked like they almost went through the bone. Now, that’s scary!
