A customer in Singapore recently took to social media to complain about his toast which he requested for no Kaya spread.

In the Facebook post, the man said he expected the Kaya spread to be substituted by margarine or butter spread. His toasts did not come empty but it was much, much less than what he expected.

His toasts came with only 3 thin strips of butter, without any spread.

Apart from the toast with thin strips of butter, the customer also got himself 2 beverages, and the simple meal cost him SGD4.70 (approximately RM15.42).

“Shrinkflation has set in (in) Singapore,” the customer remarked in his post.

According to his post in the Facebook group COMPLAINT SINGAPORE, the stall is located on Tampines Street, and the unhappy customer urged others to boycott the establishment for serving such a portion at an unreasonable price.

“My toothpick is thicker”

Social media users were also shocked to see what the customer had on his plate, and many have also urged others to boycott the place.

Some also commented on the size of the slices of butter, comparing them to small everyday items.

“Classic. They are harsh on their butter slices and this is ridiculous. I would stop patronising the restaurant.”

What do you think of the portion of the butter slices?
