What would you do if you came across a motorcycle blocking the lane in front of you at a traffic light?

You’d wait for the motorcyclist to help a blind man cross the road, of course!

A young Shopee delivery rider was at a traffic light in Seapark, Petaling Jaya at around 12pm, yesterday (16 January), when he noticed an elderly blind man trying to cross the road.

He just couldn’t sit by and watch the man struggle, he knew he had to help.

Netizen, Michelle, was in one of the cars behind the food delivery rider. She shared with WORLD OF BUZZ that the young man dashed to the elderly man’s aid.

“I was driving when my boyfriend exclaimed ‘OMG, that’s so sweet of him!’. That’s when I noticed the delivery rider who was helping this elderly blind man across the road”, Michelle shared.

She also emphasised that there were 2 things that warmed her heart:

“The genuine #kitajagakita attitude we have, no matter the skin colour and how the few cars stuck in the lane patiently waited without honking while he helped the man.”

The rider’s actions show his thoughtfulness as he’s willing to take the time out of his busy day to assist the man.

We all know how stressful it is being a delivery rider, especially when they’re rushing to finish their orders. So, I really salute this man for helping the elderly uncle!

Kudos to the rider for showing us that helping our fellow community members should always be a priority.

What would you have done if you were in the delivery rider’s shoes? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
