A Singaporean man allegedly received the wrong stamp at the Johor Bahru Immigration Checkpoint (JB Checkpoint) while entering Malaysia, causing him to have to return to the checkpoint to have the immigration officers there make a correction.
Taking to a Facebook group, Tan Daniel shared how he received a stamp for August 3, 2025, when he was entering Malaysia on September 3, 2025, and included an image of his passport showing the 2 stamps side by side, with the wrong one being labelled ‘void’.

He wrote, “Yesterday, I went through the JB Checkpoint. Luckily, I stopped by the roadside to check my passport, and it didn’t show a stamp for September 3, 2025. I normally memorised the checkpoint counter number out of habit, so when I went back, the Malaysian woman at the counter gloated over the misfortune.”
The immigration officer apparently cheerfully said, “Oh, (it’s the) wrong month!” and went on to stamp the right date into his passport while writing the word ‘void’ over the wrong stamp.
Considering the situation made him feel uneasy, he went on to ask if others had experienced the same thing.
One other did

A woman took to the comments of Tan Daniel’s post to share a similar incident where her group of 7 people had their passports stamped with the wrong date while entering Malaysia. She reported the incident to the Immigration authorities as she and her group returned to Singapore on the same day.
Due to the error, the stamps in their passports say that they entered Malaysia on August 3, 2025 and returned to Singapore on September 3, 2025, making her trip seem like a month instead of a day.
