The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) will see another type of race next year, which has nothing to do with automotive, as people will be racing to get their food for breaking fast or buka puasa there instead.
This is because SIC has been announced as the latest location for Bazaar Ramadan in Sepang, Selangor, by the Sepang Municipal Council (MPSepang)!
Malaysians can buy their buka puasa food at SIC Bazaar Ramadan next year
MPSepang Deputy President Muhamad Shah Osmin was quoted by BERNAMA as saying that SIC will be one of 12 Bazaar Ramadan locations in Sepang next year.
The other 11 locations are Kip Mall, Cyberjaya, Taman Mas, Desa Pinggiran Putera, Kosmopleks, Taman Putra Perdana, Sungai Merab, Dengkil Jaya, Dengkil, Sungai Pelek and Sepang Putra.
Muhamad Shah further elaborated on the Bazaar Ramadan in SIC to SelangorTV, saying that it’s a collaboration between MPSepang and SIC’s management.
He added there would be 80 spots in the SIC Bazaar Ramadan, and they’re open to those who are interested in renting them. However, MPSepang and SIC’s management will coordinate the types of dishes that will be sold.
Muhamad Shah said,
“In terms of the dishes, we are trying to coordinate that. The reason is that we are opening the offer to everyone interested in participating in the bazaar. Maybe we can create categories and also set the quota quantity.
“We can diversify the types of dishes, and maybe we will provide a quota for food or gastronomic menus. We have already announced several gastronomic menus as Selangor’s heritage food.”
