Local YouTubers, Jeff & Inthira recently visited Shanghai for a trip and a “mission” at hand – to see what RM100 (approximately RMB156) could get them.

In terms of food, it could get them quite a lot but this time, we’re highlighting how the little things that they saw and experienced made the couple feel that public security in China is better than in Malaysia, and said that the place that they visited is safer than Malaysia.

During their visit to 1 of the restaurants, Jeff mentioned the public security in China, which is tighter than in Malaysia.

“Everyone is being watched due to the tight security measurements here.”

In the meantime, Jeff moved the camera closer to a phone that was being charged at a public port just right beside him, and the owner of the device was nowhere to be seen. Typically, we don’t leave our mobile out of our sight and we all know too well what may happen if we leave our phone on the table in less than 5 minutes – stolen, gone with the wind.

But that was not what happened in China, according to Jeff. The pair was surprised to see a phone being charged in public without having the owner supervise his/her device.

“Your phone would be gone by now if you do this in Malaysia,” Jeff and Inthira agreed.

In the video, Jeff also suggested others visit other countries if they can because it’s a good opportunity to discover how they differ from us, and experience them by yourself. You can watch the full video below.

To those who have been to China, what do you think of the security there? Did you feel safe when visiting the country?
