M’sian Shares How Sweet Corns Sold in Cameron Highlands are Not Grown There, But Imported from Perak

Did you know that all your corn bought in Cameron Highlands came from farms in Perak? According to this netizen, if you are looking to get your corn fix, give this local hotspot a shot, before driving to Cameron Highlands.

Give this video a watch.

“It took me a while to realise that you can also buy your corn in Perak.”

“Make your way to Titi Gantung, Bota, Perak to stock up on sweet corn. As you can see, there are several farms operating here.”

“The corns I bought here are also sent up to Cameron Highlands. So, what’s the point of travelling all the way there when it is way cheaper here?”

Netizens commenting on the video agree.

“For travellers out there, there is no such thing as ‘Cameron Highlands corn’. All of it is brought up in trucks from Perak.”

“There are a lot of corn farms in Seri Iskandar, Chemor and Titi Gantung. We’ve known this for quite some time.”

As the route up to Cameron Highlands from Simpang Pulai remains closed for road works, why not make your way to Titi Gantung instead for your corn?
