How much are you willing to pay for Nasi Lemak? The customers in Kuala Terengganu happily pay over RM400 for a few portions of Nasi Lemak that come with fresh and big lobsters!

In a viral TikTok post by @juraidamamad2, the Nasi Lemak vendor shared a video of her packing Nasi Lemak for 2 customers who were waiting at her stall in Pantai Teluk Lipat, Dungun, Terengganu. The customers took away 7 packs of Nasi Lemak along with generous helpings of seafood and other dishes, all of which cost a total of RM410!

While the amount may sound a bit much for Nasi Lemak from a roadside stall, based on the video, the customers picked out a lot of seafood to go with their rice, including lobsters and squid.

All the dishes were packed separately and Juraida also happily packed extra helpings of sambal for the customers and mentioned that the market price for the 2 lobsters is RM180. In the video, Juraida was also seen mentally (and carefully) calculating the prices of the Nasi Lemak dishes, which the customers agreed to pay.

Based on Juraida’s TikTok account, her stall is well-known among locals and frequented by many customers.

In one of the videos, Juraida also shared a snippet of her preparing the squids at her stall, and you can easily see the jumbo sizes of the seafood.

In another video, Juraida showed the fresh squids that she bought from the market, assuring customers about the sizes and the freshness of the squids.

“Those who ‘know their stuff’ will know how fresh the squid is,” she said in the video.

In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Juraida said that the squid and lobsters are the best sellers at her stall, and many customers visit her, particularly for those 2 dishes.

Juraida, who has been in the business for 11 years now said that she did not expect her videos to go viral online and gain attention from people outside the state.

When asked about the prices which may be high for some customers, Juraida told WORLD OF BUZZ that most of her customers have never complained about the prices.

“The people who complained about the prices have never bought anything from me. My customers have never complained about the prices so far. They are well aware of the prices.”

Juraida also mentioned that she displays the prices for the customers’ references.
