Two days ago, 3 January, a 22-year-old motorcyclist died after being involved in an accident at Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah.
The victim, Mohd Azwan Fitri Pinggoi, who is from Sandakan, Sabah, died at the scene due to severe injuries to the head at 11.15pm.
According to Malaysia Post, South Klang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Shamsul Amar Ramli said the accident happened when the victim tried to pass through a narrow path between a car and a trailer.
However, the motorcyclist collided with the back end of the car and was violently thrown off his vehicle from the impact.
“A trailer that was driven by a 38-year-old man then slammed the victim which resulted in the victim being stuck at the back of the trailer,” he explained.
He also said that it took the team nearly an hour to successfully remove the victim.
The victim’s body was sent to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital for an autopsy. The case is being investigated according to Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
