Despite the 17th Sabah State Election can be held anytime before 9 December 2025, political parties in the East Malaysia region have been making moves in preparation for the polls.

In fact, one party, the Social Democratic Harmony Party or Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), has even announced parts of its manifesto for the upcoming election.

KDM is promising fresh graduates RM300/month cash aid if it wins the state election

Speaking during the launch of the party’s state election machinery in Kemabong, KDM president Datuk Peter Anthony revealed two of the party’s promises under its manifesto should they win the 17th Sabah State Election, which involves cash aid for the people of Sabah.

Specifically, KDM promises to give fresh graduates in the state RM300 monthly cash aid for 6 months.

Furthermore, the party is also promising RM500 monthly cash aid to single mothers in Sabah for 1 year.

On the monetary assistance for fresh graduates, Peter Anthony said that it would lighten the burden of fresh graduates who are still trying to find a job.

KDM is also promising to set up a Sabah state-owned airline

Previously, the KDM president, in similar events, had also revealed several other details about the party’s manifesto.

Among them are setting up a Sabah state-owned airline, creating a Sabah state-owned bank and restructuring land management in the state.

So, what do you guys think of KDM’s manifesto for the 17th Sabah State Election before the date of the election is even announced? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!
