A Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer recently went viral on social media after making lewd gestures at a Malaysian woman in KL, who is also a freelance photographer.

Despite knowing his act was caught on camera, the police officer did not seem to hide his behaviour. In her viral Instagram post @byints, the woman said that she was photographing an ongoing protest when the police officer, who was in his uniform and on duty, repeatedly made the lewd gestures.

“It was done repeatedly to make sure I saw him. I was standing alone at the stairs of the pedestrian overpass, so it was definitely directed towards me.”

Unfortunately, the other officer standing next to him did nothing, according to the post. WORLD OF BUZZ has since reached out to her, but we have yet to receive a response.

PDRM is now investigating

In another Instagram by @gegaramerika, it is mentioned that the photographer will be lodging a police report today (December 16) at 10:30 AM at the Dang Wangi Police Station.

“We call on the public and media to also join us as we provide a statement to IPK Kuala Lumpur later in the afternoon (tentatively 2pm, depending on the time and situation).”

In a statement by PDRM, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the police had identified the mentioned officer who made lewd gestures at the woman and said an internal investigation started last night (December 15).

Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
