The Sabah government is going to develop an application for the public to register for social activities including public events and wedding ceremonies.
Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, the Minister of Housing and Local Government said that this initiative is due to the recent rising of new Covid-19 cases in the state that involves social gatherings.
“The state government will develop an application as soon as possible for the public to register for any public event as well as notifying the government,” he added, according to Astro Awani.
On 3 April 2021, there is a total of two new clusters recorded in Sabah, namely Kluster Jalan Kubota Sentral, Tawau and Kluster Simpang Tiga Merotai, Kalabakan and Tawau.
The Ministry of Health also urged the public to fully adhere to the SOPs when organising and attending wedding ceremonies. “Avoid shaking hands, wear face masks and limit the time you spend at the event,” said the Ministry of Health in a tweet yesterday (3 April).
