Though it is clearly stated by the law that designated disabled parking spaces are meant for the differently-abled, there are still many who believe they are above the law and use the space not meant for them.
Which is why it is truly satisfying to watch when they get confronted for their irresponsibility and ignorance.
An old video has recently been circulating online, showcasing a Malaysian man scolding a Singaporean couple for parking in a designated disabled parking spot when they are not differently-abled. The video was on TikTok but has since been removed.
In the video, the Malaysian man sarcastically asked, “Do you see the signboard (indicating that the parking space is for the differently-abled) there?”
While the Singaporean man responded ‘yes’, his partner said, “it’s true we did not see the signboard there”.
“RUBBISH!” the Malaysian man angrily yelled, “So big, you cannot see the signboard ah?”
The Singaporean woman then tried to explain that they parked at the spot because there were a lot of car, but the Malaysian man retorted that there can be 10,000 cars but they still cannot park there.
“In Singapore, do ya’ll do this or not? Do ya’ll do this?”
“I thought Singaporeans are very courteous, follow the rules. As soon as you cross the Causeway, you come here you can break the rules is it?” the Malaysian man continued to ask.
Thankfully, the Singaporean couple admitted their mistake and apologised to the Malaysian man profusely.
Upon watching the re-circulated video, many expressed how satisfied they are upon seeing the interaction
“I’m so satisfied! I’m staying in JB also constantly have to encounter Singaporeans with this kind of attitude.”
“Can someone give this brother a medal? It’s so satisfying to hear them getting schooled.”
“I hope the Sultan of Selangor can give this brother datukship.”
