A viral video has caught the attention of Malaysians recently, showing an accident involving a motorcycle and a white Perodua MyVi due to the irresponsible actions of the two motorcyclists riding the former.
Shared by @udpate11111 on X (formerly Twitter), the video has garnered over 369,000 views and 3,900 likes as of the time of writing, with many Malaysians condemning the ‘Rempits’ or illegal street racers’ actions.
Motorcycle hits innocent MyVi after failed wheelie attempt
At the start of the video, recorded at an undisclosed road in our country, several motorcyclists could be seen riding through a small road while a white Perodua MyVi was driving on the other lane.
Suddenly, a motorcycle doing a ‘wheelie’ can be seen entering the frame from the left before immediately losing control of the two-wheeler.
Afterwards, the two individuals who were riding the motorcycles crashed into the ground after the person who manoeuvred the motorbike lost control of the vehicle.
The unmanned motorcycle then ended up swerving to the right, hitting the innocent MyVi and causing considerable damage to its front bumper.
The video then pans to reveal that several other motorcyclists were in the vicinity, alluding that there was a gathering of motorcyclists, which the crashed rempits were believed to be a part of.
In the captions, @update11111 wrote,
“This is what happens when there’s a mass gathering, and you’re trying to show off in front of the crowd.”
