We all understand the feeling of disappointment when you can’t get tickets to your favourite live show. But this is no way to treat our Malaysian officials, especially when you’re visiting from a different country!
Yesterday, a video of an Indonesian man attempting to “flying kick” his way past a turnstile into the Sepang International Circuit to get a seat for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix went viral in Facebook group “We are Malaysians”.
The man, who was captured in the video wearing a black shirt, can be seen running backwards as he prepares to launch himself towards the guard on duty. However, his stunt proved to be futile as he fell down after failing to kick through the barrier.
Upon being provoked, the guard immediately jumps over the turnstile and starts punching the man profusely.
Another bystander joined in on the action and started kicking the man, who remained on the ground after his attempted stunt. The angry fan then gets up to throw a punch at a ticket collector beside him before being reprimanded by a guard.
According to Harian Metro, “the victim who reprimanded the man was later attacked and kicked. During the incident, the victim also injured his lip.”
Thankfully, the ruffian has been detained while the case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code.
The video, which went viral with almost 1,000 shares and 1,200 reactions has been greeted with opposing views from netizens.
Some were disappointed that such violence was allowed to take place in public.
Others were simply amused at the dramatics of the “fight”.
