A video has recently gone viral, in which a Japanese content creator in Malaysia shared an incident that left him deeply shaken.
In an Instagram video, @kaz_fula recounted how he and his family received death threats from the owner of a ramen restaurant in Malaysia, who’s also Japanese.

“Murder announcement”
In a series of screenshots, Kaz shared how the restaurant owner had posted death threats in Japanese aimed at Kaz, his wife, and their child.
One of the posts read:
“I will kill Kaz, Sora (Kaz’s wife), Leo (believed to be another influencer), Nick (believed to be another influencer), and other scum along with their children.”
Kaz said the owner later went on social media again to allegedly make a “murder announcement” and threatened to “set fire to buildings,” referring to the Japanese Embassy and Japanese media outlets in Malaysia.

The shop owner had a previous charge for domestic violence
Later in the video, Kaz revealed that the shop owner had been charged in 2023 for causing injury to his girlfriend.
“It looks like he’s trying to get revenge because his restaurant sales have (allegedly) dropped by about 40% after the media and influencers reported on the incident,” Kaz said.
Kaz shared his disappointment and sadness that something like this is happening in Malaysia, claiming the owner has been using fake accounts to harass and blackmail him, his family, and others by sending death threats and demanding money in exchange for stopping the harassment.
“I feel sad and hurt when I hear Malaysians say they enjoy the ramen at that restaurant, not knowing it’s made by someone who abused his own girlfriend and child (allegedly), and is still trying to harm others,” he said.

Translation: #Japanese embassy #I will set you on fire, I curse you
He also claimed the owner has now banned Japanese customers from dining at his restaurant.
“This is Malaysia, a place that should celebrate multiculturalism. It’s heartbreaking and shameful to see this kind of racism and violence here. I’ve reported the matter to the police and the embassy, but our safety still isn’t guaranteed. I just want this to end, for my family’s sake and for the people of Malaysia.”

“He’s mainly targeting media and influencers”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Kaz’s manager, Aivor, shared that Kaz isn’t the only target. Several other Japanese individuals, local Japanese media, and even the Japanese Embassy have allegedly been harassed, with the attacker sending out an arson threat.
“We’re now working with local authorities and the Japanese Embassy to handle this case. He’s going after Japanese people and the media because he (allegedly) wants revenge. His ramen sales dropped after a criminal case against him two years ago in Malaysia,” Aivor said.
Aivor also dismissed claims that Japanese influencers had teamed up to bully the shop owner by spreading the news.
“He’s mainly targeting media and influencers because he thinks all Japanese people are banding together to attack him, which just isn’t true,” Aivor added.

WORLD OF BUZZ has reached out to the ramen restaurant owner for comment, but has yet to receive a response. Stay tuned for more updates!
