Sometimes, images without a proper context may send the wrong messages to the people.
A recently-opened hair salon in Puchong went viral after it had shared images of sexy Thai models washing the hair of male customers. The images have since been deleted by the hair salon themselves, AJ Hair Studio but the photos are still being circulated on social media at the time of writing.
The pictures were taken as a way to promote their grand opening which was on 2 June. However, some people have been sharing the images and misleading others by giving them the expectations that the hair salon offers sensual massage ‘services’.
Police have gotten involved
The viral images have led the police to pay the hair salon a visit yesterday (7 June) where an investigation was conducted.
On the same night, the owner of AJ Hair Studio went to the Puchong Police Station to lodge a report after realising that the images of his hair salon with the Thai models went viral for the wrong reasons.
“Those were purely promotional images for the hair salon’s grand opening, not an indicative of massage services,” the owner clarified in his police report.
The owner also said that the police report was made for safety precautions.
Since then, AJ Hair Studio has taken to its social media to assure and remind everyone that the hair salon does NOT provide any massage services. They have also clarified that aside from promotional purposes, the images were strictly for entertainment purposes only.
“If you ask anything about massage services again, I will screenshot and make a police report.”
This should be a solid reminder to all customers that AJ Hair Studio is a hair studio that only provides relevant hair services and not other services.
