Prostitution is limited in all states of Malaysia, despite its widespread presence in the country. However, Malaysian actor Rosyam Nor believes that the existence of brothels is a necessity.

In a recently posted video by the man himself, @iamrosyam decided to address the comments he made about the brothel on Instagram.

The Malaysian actor apologizes for the controversial statement he made about prostitution dens for foreign workers. He clarifies that it was, in fact, a promotion for his podcast.

He also mentioned that he never anticipated his statement to go viral, resulting in misunderstandings and eliciting various reactions from netizens and the public.

“There’s been quite a stir in recent days regarding the matter of prostitution dens and brothels, all sparked by a statement I made. Regardless of the situation, let me extend my sincere apologies first and foremost, as none of us expected it to gain such widespread attention.”

Rosyam also urged everyone to watch the complete video uploaded on the Suhan Channel on TikTok and form their own opinions after careful consideration.

“In fact, it was for the podcast program on the Suhan Channel. Since it was a discussion, I believe it’s preferable for everyone to take some time and visit the Suhan Channel to watch the entire video to understand the topics covered.”

Netizens quickly joined the comment section to share their thoughts on the situation.

“I always find Dato’s podcast enjoyable. They’re filled with knowledge. Sometimes, the media likes to add some spice to the story just so that it goes viral, and he’d face backlash.”
