A recent dashcam video shared by MYNEWSHUB captured a terrifying moment when a four-wheel drive got hit by a log that fell off a lorry.
The incident happened on February 19 at Sungai Udin, Tawau, Sabah, where Sinar Harian reported that a pregnant woman was injured after the vehicle she and her husband were in was crushed by a falling log.

The log fell from a lorry heading in the opposite direction
Tawau’s acting police chief, Superintendent Champin Piuh, said the accident involved a Toyota Hilux and a log lorry driven by a 38-year-old man.
Based on initial investigations, the truck was heading from Kalabakan-Merotai to Log Pond, while the four-wheel-drive was on its way from Tawau town to Luasong.
“When they reached the spot, a log suddenly fell from the truck coming from the opposite direction and smashed into the front of the four-wheel-drive,” he said.

The four-wheel-drive was severely damaged
Champin added that the front of the four-wheel-drive was severely damaged due to the incident.
The 31-year-old woman has received treatment at Tawau Hospital, while her 35-year-old husband escaped unharmed.
Investigations are ongoing under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving causing an accident.
