As the Johor state election is just a couple of days away, the heat is definitely on! Every party is doing their best in order to gain the votes and trust from the rakyat.

Amidst the preparations, Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah, the vice president of PAS has a reminder for all the voters in the state.

“Don’t be deceived by the development promises made by BN & UMNO. Dear Johoreans, say NO to UMNO during the state election.”

Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah

During an event in Pontian, Johor, Amar had drawn comparisons between Malaysia and Singapore to which he said the latter is more developed because it has never been ruled by UMNO nor its BN allies.

“Is there BN or UMNO in Singapore? No, and that’s why it’s easier to develop a country,” Amar added.

He said Perikatan Nasional (PN), which PAS is a part of, can better develop Johor, and that this was the role of any government. Amar also added that they have never promised that they will build roads and bridges if they form the government because that is every government’s duty.

His “reminder” has gained the attention of the rakyat and some of them also took the opportunity to remind him about his own “backyard.”

“I can accept if he is not from any parties but when I know which party he’s from, it’s immediately invalid to me. So confident of him to say that.”

“Forgetful old man. Has he seen his own state?”
