Following the upside-down Jalur Gemilang at a Port Dickson school and the hardware store in Penang, another Malaysian flag with a similar blunder was spotted, and this time, in Melaka.
The mistake, however, has been addressed by a politician who investigated the matter by looking through the CCTV footage and speaking to the person who hoisted the flag.
UMNO ADUN calmly investigates upside-down Jalur Gemilang incident in Melaka

According to a Facebook post by the politician, Mohd Noor Helmy, the Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Duyong from UMNO, he said that the incident was spotted at a Texas Instruments factory in Malacca, but before paying a visit to the factory, Helmy investigated the matter by going through the CCTV footage.
Thanks to the evidence that Helmy also shared on another Facebook post last night (August 17), it was proven that the person did not hoist the flag wrongly.
It turned out that the employees did not tie the flag to the flagpole properly after hanging it, causing the flag to become loose, tangled and eventually look upside down.

Helmy also told Malaysians that they can expect a statement from the management of the factory soon, and said that it was fortunate that the CCTV managed to capture the scene.
“Just wait for an official statement. This is merely a statement from the ‘YB kampung’ before anything ridiculous happens.”

Malaysians praise Helmy for the professional and calm way he handled the incident
Helmy received praises from social media users, who dubbed his way “professional” and “harmonious” when it comes to solving problems. Some netizens also mentioned the UMNO Youth Chief, Dr Akmal Saleh, and compared Helmy’s methodology to Akmal’s, and pointed out that the latter has a lot to learn.

“Duyong’s YB is polite and harmonious when it comes to handling a crisis, unlike someone else who doesn’t look smart.”
“Thank God. Akmal and the Power Rangers were getting ready for a rally, and now YB has provided evidence, causing Akmal to get changed.”

“Akmal was just getting his people ready, and now YB had solved the matter.”

“This is the way it’s supposed to be. I hope that someone else can learn from YB Duyong.”
What do you think of this?
