It’s that time of year again, everyone!

We’re almost one week into Ramadan, where Muslims all over the world fast for an entire month leading up to Eid, or Hari Raya as it’s known here in Malaysia.

During this holy month, Muslims have to wake up before the crack of dawn for sahur to eat and drink enough to sustain themselves for the entire day until sunset.

In the early hours of the morning, our very own Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak shared pictures of his sahur on Facebook and Twitter

His pre-fasting meal was quite the spread, consisting of ikan bilis with tempeh, beef curry, salted eggs, and a delicious prawn dish.

Of course, Malaysian netizens went wild in the comments over the prime minister’s delicious meal.

Of course, with such scrumptious looking food, netizens couldn’t help but wonder if it’s our dear first lady who made it!

Ya lah! Post so good food, where is the jio man???

Anyway, Prime Minister Najib is definitely setting an example for Muslims everywhere this Ramadan. In a recent blog post, he said,

“We should all be careful with our words, avoid making accusations or spreading lies because these actions are detrimental and can lead to destruction.”

He also said in his post that apart from fasting, Muslims should also embrace the spirit of Ramadan, which is full of blessings and forgiveness from Allah. 

Wise words!
