Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has said that the grouses raised by residents in Sabah and Sarawak to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah during the Kembara Kenali Borneo tour will be studied and resolved accordingly by the government.

Throughout the Borneo tour, many Sabahans and Sarawakians personally met with the Royal couple and shared the grievances that they faced in the regions. Previously, a viral video showed a Sabahan ‘reporting’ directly to the King and Queen about the worsening road conditions, to which the Raja Permaisuri Agong took notes!

As reported by BERNAMA, Anwar said that during an audience with His Majesty on Thursday (14 September), the Yang di-Pertuan Agong expressed how he was deeply touched by the reception received during the 11-day tour.

In a post by Istana Negara, His Majesty can be seen reading all of the letters and petitions received from the people of Sabah and Sarawak throughout the Borneo tour. They are all handed over to the Prime Minister for further action.

The Prime Minister added that not only Sabah and Sarawak was amazed by the rousing reception shown to the Royal couple during the tour. He also expressed his appreciation to the governments of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) in giving support to uphold His Majesty’s decree to create a unity government.

Awesome! So, what do you guys think of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong’s tour of Borneo? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
