PDRM will start issue compound notices to those who violate the movement control order starting today (8 April), says Comm Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

According to The Star, he said they received the forms and documentation for the compounds last week and will start issuing them today. Violators will have to pay a RM1,000 fine.

Comm Acryl added that the compound would not be issued at the roadblocks but instead, violators will be brought to the nearest police station or district police headquarters where the compound will be issued.

“If the violators fail to pay the compound amount, they will be tried in court. They are given two weeks to settle the amount at any Health Ministry office,” he added.

He then reminds everyone not to take this lightly as violators will have to pay a fixed amount of RM1,000. No room for discounts will be allowed once the compound has been issued. This is in accordance with the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

PDRM really is taking this very seriously and we all should too!
