Times are bad.

In a Facebook posting by PDRM, the authorities have warned that there is a new technique employed by robbers. They said: “If you always park your cars in quiet places or places where there are not a lot of cars, please be careful as you might be targeted by criminals.”

“PDRM has identified a new technique used by robbers to rob unsuspecting Malaysians. The robbers will place sharp objects such as nails on the back tyres of your vehicle so that it can be punctured. Once you move your car, they will be tailing you and stopping you to ‘inform’ you of your punctured tyre.”

“Once you leave the driver’s seat, then they will rob you by taking your belongings such as handbags, phones and laptops. Once they get their hands on your valuables, then they will make an escape.”

To avoid being robbed, PDRM advises everyone to not go to quiet places alone and if your car is having problems, you should always stop at places where there are a lot of people.

We hope that all Malaysians will take note of this! To keep your loved ones safe, please warn them of the robbers’ modus operandi!
