The Attorney General’s Chambers Malaysia has ultimately decide that a Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer who killed at 17-year-old boy in a road accident in Ipoh will be charged with murder in court today (December 18).

They confirmed this in a statement shared to their official Facebook page.

Murder

They wrote, “The Attorney General’s Department refers to the case of a road accident that happened last Thursday (December 14) near SMK Jati between a car driven by a senior police officer and a motorcycle which caused the death of a 17-year-old student (the motorcyclist).”

“After conducting research on the results of the investigation and the evidence presented in the investigation papers, this department found that there is sufficient evidence for an offense of murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, against the suspect.”

Murder 2 1

He will be tentatively charged at the Ipoh Magistrate’s Court today before the court sets a date to transfer the case to the High Court for trial.

This apparently isn’t the first time the officer has gotten into trouble with the law.

He is said to have allegedly assaulted a woman and her family at their clothing store in Machang, Kelantan, back in 2015.

Murder 3 1

After the road accident involving the police officer had gone viral, Edisi Siasat had did some digging and uncovered a police report made by a then-pregnant woman from 2015, which alleged that he had suddenly entered her clothing store, grabbed her by the neck and punched her in the stomach.

He had apparently also assaulted the woman’s sister and father for attempting to defend her and when he finally decided to leave, the officer’s mother then allegedly threatened to “go to” the family’s home.

Do stay tuned for more updates.
