PDRM: ‘Missing’ Bentong Woman & 5 Children Found Safe, Left Home Due to Domestic Misunderstanding

The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) recently sought the public’s assistance in locating several individuals reported missing in Bentong, Pahang.

Bentong District Police Chief Supt. Zaiham Mohd Kahar stated that a 43-year-old man, the husband and father of the missing individuals, lodged a formal report on 30 March.

They were last seen leaving their home in Bentong

The missing persons included the complainant’s 41-year-old wife and five of his children, aged between four and 19.

The individuals were identified as M. Rekha and her children: S. Ruban, S. Sharivina Nair, S. Shasini Nair, S. Pritivi Nair, and S. Lashwin Nair.

In the initial appeal, Supt. Zaiham stated, “Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to come forward to the nearest police station or contact the Bentong District Control Centre (DCC) at 09-2231999.”

Family found safe

Providing an update via the comments section today (2 April), the Bentong Police confirmed that all six family members have been found safe. The family arrived at the police station yesterday (1 April) of their own accord.

“Initial investigations revealed that the wife had left the house with the children without informing her husband due to a domestic misunderstanding,” the update clarified.
