The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has revealed that the body of a newborn girl was found wrapped in plastic in the back alley of a supermarket in Section 25, Shah Alam, this morning (20 December).
BERNAMA quoted Shah Alam Police Chief ACP Ramsay Embol as saying that police officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report from the public about the shocking discovery at around 7 AM.

Ramsay added that preliminary investigations indicate that the baby was delivered in a different location before being abandoned in the back alley.
“Investigations are ongoing to gather all available evidence and information from the surrounding area,” the Shah Alam Police Chief stated.
Meanwhile, Harian Metro reported that the medical team confirmed that the newborn was already dead when found, with the baby believed to have been abandoned at the location up to 8 hours before being discovered.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body.
