Just like our food, Malaysian snacks are so good and many tourists (even Blackpink’s Jennie) love them!

The man of the hour since last week, Malaysian tower runner Soh Wai Ching has made a wholesome post on Facebook where he shared about his snack trading tradition that takes place after competitions.

According to the post, the tower runner started this snack trading system after joining international competitions to share the joy that Malaysian snacks bring.

“Ever since I started travelling overseas for tower running competitions, I brought many of my childhood snacks and gave them to my rivals (who are also friends) from other countries.”

He added that during his first tower run, he brought a variety of snacks, ” I remembered I brought many Mamees, Apollos, and even dodol as well. Since then, I have influenced some of them to bring their childhood snacks.”

As this has now become a thing, there is a certain time that they informally allocate so that they can “system barter” snacks.

Our Malaysian pride, Soh Wai Ching, says this has allowed him to try snacks from many other countries.

“I am happy to taste the snacks from many many countries!”

What a load of wholesomeness and sunshine! If you were to introduce a Malaysian snack to a foreigner, what would it be? Let us know in the comments.
