A noodle shop owner was praised after it was revealed that he has been showing kindness to an elderly homeless man in Wenzhou, Zhejiang China.

According to Oriental Daily, the homeless man has been buying noodles using hand-drawn ‘bank notes’, but the shop owner has been pretending not to notice and has been giving the old man noodles for free.

The noodle shop owner and his wife said that the homeless man has been buying noodles from their stall for seven years. Even though the shop has moved several times, they said that he always manages to find them again.

They added that most of the time, the man would use his hand-drawn ‘banknotes’ to pay for the noodles, but occasionally uses real banknotes to buy their noodles for 2 yuan (RM1.24).

Photos show the homeless man’s banknotes, which appears to be white paper with colourful doodles on them in attempts to make them look like real banknotes.

The noodle shop owner said that he chose to pretend not to know and continued selling noodles to the man as he always believed that one should take care of the less fortunate.

Netizens who heard about the story praised the noodle shop owner and his wife for their kind deed with many wishing them prosperity in their business.

Sometimes a small deed of kindness can make a huge difference for someone else in this world.
