Due to his love for his cats, a man is willing to risk his life to stay at home, after he was ordered to move to a flood evacuation center (PPS) due to the floods in Terengganu.

According to a report by Astro Awani, Muhammad Junaidi Ismail said that he is worried about the safety of his 9 pet cats should he have to leave them behind. His residential area in Dungun is currently flooding and the water has reached the floor of his home.

However, he shared that it is difficult to bring such a large number of cats into the PPS as he fears that it would disturb the comfort of others seeking shelter there.

He also does not want to leave them behind out of worry that his pets would be swept away by the currents should the floods get worse.

Ps. not gonna lie, we would risk our lives for these sweet little kittens too!

“If these cats are left alone, we are afraid of the tides. We don’t know (what would happen). Now, there are 9, yesterday 1 died under the house. We are afraid to go down because of the strong currents yesterday, the water level had risen up to our foreheads.”

He added that this year’s flood is one of the worst since he had moved to the area.

Considering that we love our pets just as much as Muhammad Junaidi does, we understand why he decided to stay behind. We genuinely hope that he and his loved ones (including his adorable kitties) stay safe during these tough times.

What would you do if you were in Muhammad Junaidi’s position? Do feel free to share in the comments section.
