While many often underestimate the tasks and duties of couriers, they don’t often have the smoothest journey when needing to transport an item to its given destination.
Such an instance was recently shared by Indonesian delivery service provider J&T Express Indonesia to their TikTok account @jntexpressid, when one of their couriers had to make a delivery to a pretty treacherous location.
Without revealing which part of Indonesia the deliveryman was at, the rider got off his motorcycle with a package that was no bigger than five inches in his hand. Slowly walking towards the place he was meant to drop it off, the man began the process of dropping the item off by walking on an unsteady plank, which looked as though it would have collapsed at any second.
Yet, his journey was not over that quickly. Stepping onto another piece of wood deeper in the ground, the house was revealed to be located over water, thereby requiring those who reside in the house to use the planks as mediums for ushering themselves in and out.
Thin and hardly sturdy, the courier continues to walk carefully down the planks, avoiding traces of string and rope which surround the crossing. Without anything to balance himself on, the deliveryman eventually reaches the edge of the house, holding on to a part of the roof to gather himself.
Eventually, he reaches the house to deliver the package.
Going absolutely viral on the platform, many commenters were in awe of the location for the delivery, saying that if such an effort was required to hand over a small item, what more for bulkier items such as televisions, ice boxes, and washing machines.
On the lighter side of things, others embraced the clip in a funnier manner, with one user saying that he can apply for reality television show Ninja Warrior, which requires competitors to complete challenging and sometimes complicated obstacle courses.
“Assassin’s Creed: Cash on Delivery,” jokingly wrote one user.
Another responder also stated that while many may undermine the job of a courier, instances like this show that it can be dangerous at times.
