Most of us would have a lot of bills to pay and sometimes it’s just hard to keep track of all that info. If you don’t have to pay the electricity bills then lucky you lah! But! That doesn’t mean you don’t need to know about this new update because it’s pretty useful!
We all know how the Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) bill looks super complicated right? Where can you find the total, if there were any outstanding… You don’t even know! Well, they are now introducing a method to make it easier for you to keep track of your payments.
It’ll be rolled out this December, and it is basically a simple yellow box on the top right corner of your electricity bill.
What does it do? It basically saves your time and strain on your eyeballs from going through all those confusing figures!
The function of the yellow box is to let you know whether you have an outstanding amount from your previous bill. It’ll display two types of messages (depending on whether you have an outstanding amount) such as below:
1. If you’ve paid your bill within 30 days from the issuing date of the electricity bill, you’ll find a little thank you note on it, which looks something like this:
2. If you somehow didn’t manage to pay your bill on time, it will notify you that your power supply may just be disconnected…
You’ll find the details of the potential disconnection at the bottom of your bill. It has details such as how much you need to pay and by what date the payment should be made, so you can keep enjoying that continuous power supply.
And there you have it, a simple and easy way for you to keep track of your electricity bill payments. Hopefully, it will encourage more people to pay on time. After all, everyone likes a little ‘thank you’ note, right?
