Irdina Kaisara, a young girl who had just turned seven-years-old, received the shock of a lifetime when a Nestlé Ice Cream truck showed up in her quiet neighbourhood at Bagan Datoh, Perak to personally deliver a sweet surprise on her birthday today (4 November).
Her favourite treat was Nestlé Ice Cream
The seven-year-old was filled with pure delight as she received her favourite Nestlé ice cream and cake as a birthday treat. With the surge of Covid-19 cases in the country lately, many Malaysians have sadly been forced to put big events like birthdays on hold to keep the virus at bay.
But that didn’t stop Irdina’s parents, Izmarina and Ikram Kamil from doing all they could to make sure their little girl was the happiest she could possibly be in a memorable celebration that could take place while they were all safely at home. Knowing that their daughter’s favourite treat was Nestlé Ice Cream, they initially tried to utilise Nestlé’s Ice Cream Home Delivery service to make their daughter’s wish come true with a pandemic-friendly birthday blast!
Our of delivery service coverage but the mom and Nestlé made it happen
Unfortunately, a night before her daughter’s big day, Izmarina’s order was cancelled as their housing area in Bagan Datoh, was out of the delivery service coverage for Nestlé’s Ice Cream Home Delivery service. However, the determined mother refused to give up. She reached out to Nestlé Ice Cream team expressing her disappointment and explained that the order was supposed to be a birthday surprise for her daughter, who loves their products and was hoping to see the iconic blue Nestlé Ice Cream truck coming to their doorstep.
Realising what a huge deal this was for their seven-year-old, Nestlé Ice Cream decided to make it happen and worked overnight to mobilise all available resources to ensure Irdina Kaisara’s birthday wish would come true. When the time came, the family received a call from Nestlé Ice Cream that said, “Surprise! Come outside.”
And lo and behold, the iconic blue Nestlé Ice Cream truck was waiting outside their house for special delivery. In a statement shared with WOB, Nestlé said it was a gesture of goodwill to appreciate the family’s support and loyalty to their products.
Amidst the worries and fears of the COVID-19 outbreak, it’s heartwarming to know that corporations like Nestlé still make an effort to deliver happiness to their consumer’s doorstep.
