So after the whole “Nasi Lemak Burger” debacle has died down, it appears that Singapore has once again upgraded this staple dish to another level of deliciousness. This time, Lawa Bintang, a food stall in Tampines has come out with the Nasi Lemak Lobster. Say what?!

Apparently this stall has been serving fusion nasi lemak for quite some time but one of their most famous creations is the Nasi Lemak Lobster, which has been making headlines just because it looks utterly mouth-watering. According to some of the reviews by locals, it tastes just as good as it looks!

This luxuriously premium nasi lemak comes with a whole lobster that is coated with garlic oil and three different types of cheese before being grilled. A variety of herbs to bring out the succulent taste of the flesh is also used. The result? Probably one of the best lobsters you have ever tasted!

The meal comes with the usual fragrant nasi and the other accompaniments such as egg, cucumber, peanuts and of course, that sweet and spicy sambal that hits the spot. Are you drooling yet? This tempting meal is definitely a step up from the normal nasi lemak you have and it only costs S$22 (approx. RM69), which is fairly reasonable as you get a WHOLE lobster!

However, if lobster isn’t your cup of tea, the stall also serves other kinds of exciting nasi lemak options such as salmon, prawn, squid, crayfish and many more. Prices start from S$7 (RM22) and the shop only opens until 2pm, so make sure you hurry before everything is sold out! PS: Muslim friends can enjoy the food here as it is halal. 🙂
