In the Malaysian context, a Perodua Myvi is equal to a tank. It is durable, it can go through floods, it can outrun some sports cars and many Malaysians can afford the car. However, have you seen a Myvi fly?
In a recent video that has gone viral on various social media platforms, a Myvi was said to have “flown” from the main road into a park that was separated by a wide drain.

In the video, we can hear a woman narrating the situation animatedly by saying: “Oh my God! Myvi terbang? Psshhhhhiuuuuu!”
The video then zooms into a white Myvi that is stationary on the grass. From the video, it seems that the Myvi had gained a good amount of speed before ramming into a hedge and crossing the wide drain. However, it seems that the landing was not very smooth and it may have been quite low as there are chunks of soil and grass that are missing.
The video has been shared more than 19,000 times and many were gushing about how good a Myvi is.
According to Harian Metro, this incident took place in Johor Bahru. The driver had lost control as they were entering the roundabout and caused the car to ram the hedge and “fly”, only stopping when the vehicle hit a tree. The 27-year-old was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and had sustained injuries on their face and hands.
We certainly hope that the driver will recover soon!
