It has officially been one month since the full Movement Control Order (FMCO) was implemented and the Covid-19 situation does not seem to be getting better. It’s bad enough that people aren’t able to see their loved ones during this period of time, but it’s harder for those who have family members who are fighting for their lives in the hospital.
Like many others in Malaysia, one netizen shared how his grandmother, who is infected with Covid-19, has to be quarantined in the hospital. His family can only see her through video calls, which is especially hard for his father.
Raja Irfan shared on Twitter a heartbreaking video where his father can be seen crying while calling Raja Irfan’s grandmother.
“It broke my heart when I saw my father this morning, video calling with my grandmother with the help of the doctor there. She’s positive for Covid-19, and has to quarantine at the hospital,” he said.
“Stay strong, Ayah.”
Raja Irfan’s father can be heard choking up in the video while saying, “You have to be strong. We cannot come to see you there. We can only meet like this. Mum, stay strong.”

Raja Irfan also shared that his father is the eldest child in his family and that his grandmother is the only family member his father has left since his grandfather passed away.
“He’s the strongest man I have ever known in my life, he would never cry over little things, but when it comes to family, he’s this fragile,” he said.
“The fact that my grandmother’s condition is getting worse, that’s what is worrying him right now.”
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Raja Irfan said his grandmother has been in the hospital for about 18 days and currently needs breathing assistance. He also said that she needs to be administered medicine because she’s too weak at the moment.
We hope Raja Irfan’s grandmother will be able to recover from Covid-19 and that she’ll be able to reunite with her family once again.
