“Men are finding their way into the kitchen in ever growing numbers,” Gordon Ramsay.
1 of our Minister of Finance, Dato Seri Ahmad Maslan is not only known for introducing the Goods & Service Taxes (GST) back then but also for cooking up a storm in his house, which he often shares on his social media. In case you can’t recall, this Strawberry Fried Rice may ring a bell.
Just this morning (July 28), on his Twitter post, Ahmad once again shared the pictures of him cooking in his kitchen. This time, his special menu comes in the form of fried mihun (vermicelli) with pineapple, which he is gracious enough to share the recipe on his tweet. This sounds like something that will irritate those who are not a fan of pineapples on pizza.
But if you never try, you’ll never know.
Ahmad, who is dressed in neat Batik outfit in the picture said that he often cooks or reads in his spare time, and he does not always indulge himself in fancy activities.
“I don’t play golf, I don’t smoke, I don’t go fishing and I rarely go on vacations.”
That’s a lot of cash being saved there and with his expertise in cooking, could this be the green flags that you’re looking for, ladies?
Back in 2019, Ahmad proudly tweeted his experience of cooking Strawberry Fried Rice, to which former Minister of Health, KJ called it “gross”. Following the GE15 late last year, Malaysian netizens are calling for more fried rice recipes from Ahmad after he was named as 1 of the Finance Ministers. Instead, Malaysians got fried vermicelli with pineapples this time, and what do they think about it?
“Study more, Ahmad”
The feedbacks were not just limited to his odd recipe but also his neat Batik outfit, which some netizens found to be less suitable for cooking.
“Others put on apron when they cook but he wears a Batik shirt. That’s smart.”
“1 of the figures that is clearly making a joke out of Malaysians.”
“You have to study more, Ahmad. Pineapples and vermicelli don’t go well together.”
“Smoking is not a hobby.”
“Nice one Ahmad. Cooking in a Batik outfit.”
“Guys, he’s cooking in a Batik shirt!”
Regardless of his attire and recipe, are you a fan of his latest menu? If you’re trying, do share with us the outcome!
