We are no strangers to the TikTok application which have been used by some people to share their life experience. But there’s always a time when it’s deemed inappropriate to turn every detail about your life into online content, especially at work.
Just recently, a TikTok video of a female authority at work in her full uniform has spread on social media like wildfire.
In the video, she is seated in the back passenger seat with an alleged Orang Kena Pengawasan (OKP), or a suspect beside her and two other police officers seated at the front.
The caption of the video reads,
“Make way. I’m headed to the court.”
The other vehicles on the road can also be seen giving way to the car that she was seated in. The video was shared by MyWatch Twitter page a few days back and has since garnered more than 10,000 retweets, as well as more than 9,000 likes.
Going against the ethics of an authority!
Netizens have a lot to say about it and most of them expressed their displeasure about the act.
“Not professional at all! How did she even become an authority?”
“I don’t get these professionals gang. Playing TikTok at work, in full uniform, showing the suspect.”
“No ethics at all! Are you an artist who wants to get a piece of like and view? What next? Reviewing content?”
“You’re playing TikTok at work whilst embarrassing the suspect. Just wait for disciplinary actions.”
Deputy Chief Of Police, Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim had given a statement following the incident.
“Any officers that are caught using TikTok while on duty will face stern actions,” he warned while also reminding that the warning also applies to people who leave harsh comments.
He also reminded the rakyat to lodge any complaints through proper channels and not engage in harsh comments against the authorities on the internet. You can watch the video below.
