Let’s settle the debate once and for all: Is it purple or maroon?

Similar to the famous black and blue or white and gold dress that broke the internet once upon a time, this attire is definitely giving off nostalgic vibes. In a recent TikTok video posted by @aazrilhanieff, he can be seen debating with his friends on whether the attire he was wearing was purple or maroon, and neither side will budge.

The fact that a single video could polarize the entire internet into two aggressive camps is, let’s face it, just another day in Malaysia.

M’sians were quick to jump into the debate by commenting their answers in the comment section.

“That’s burgundy purple”

“What’s the difference between maroon and burgundy purple?”

“It’s purple, but the actual name is burgundy purple. It’s almost the same as maroon.”

The mystery deepens when we realize that no one has any idea why some people see attire differently than others. Arguably, we still don’t fully understand it.

In an exclusive conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, Azril shared that his attire was indeed maroon. He also mentioned that he only found out about the existence of the colour “burgundy” through netizens’ comments, adding an extra layer of hilarity to the situation.

He also said that he personally is on “team maroon”. Watch the viral clip and be your own judge.

maroon ke purple ?

One thing’s for sure, at least we can all agree that people who see the outfit as purple are utterly, completely wrong.
