It’s completely normal for women to have concerns about running alone, especially in specific areas or times, prioritizing safety is essential.
In a recent TikTok video shared by @nurananajihah, she casually documented her jog in Damansara Damai. However, the situation took an unexpected turn when she realized she was being watched and followed by a motorcyclist.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Nurana shared her experience, explaining that the incident occurred on January 14, 2024, as she jogged against traffic on a one-way road to ensure better visibility.
“I was jogging against the traffic because it was a one-way road and also because I wanted to make sure that I could see all the vehicles that were approaching.”
Despite the motorcyclist repeatedly passing and staring at her, she initially brushed it off as normal.
“Whenever he passes by, he wouldn’t stop staring at me. But I decided to brush it off because I figured he was just a normal guy that was just taking a ride on his bike in the area.”
Eventually, the man on the motorcycle approached her, asking her “where in Seri Damansara are you staying at?”.
Uncomfortable, Nurana ignored him, but on his fourth attempt, he stopped in front of her and proceeded to behave inappropriately.
“I was literally shaking at the time but I managed to hold myself together and continued recording in hopes to get a glimpse of his face and his plates number.”
Despite feeling shaken, Nurana continued recording to capture his face and license plate. She eventually ran off without looking back.
