As a husband and a father, being the man of the house means carrying a lot of responsibilities on your shoulders.

An anonymous man confessed on the MY (Malaysia) Facebook page and ranted about his wife, who seems unhappy with the amount of money he earns monthly.

According to the post, the man, who has four children with his wife, earns RM30,000 monthly. Fortunately, all of his children are obedient, but he is now feeling pressured by his wife to bring more money home.

“I give my wife RM18,000 every month. The house, the car, and the bills are all on me. I’ve given her more than half of my salary, is that not enough?” he asked.

His wife is a full-time housewife and for the sake of his wife, he saves as much as he can but he couldn’t say the same for his wife, who apparently goes on a spending spree. However, the man has no idea how his wife spent the money.

“Her money flows out like tap water. Is RM18,000 too less nowadays?”, he asked.

A very lucky wife

At the time of writing, his anonymous confession had gained more than 2,000 likes, and many Malaysians had shared their take on the matter. The reactions were mixed, with some thinking the confession was nothing but a “bragging post.”

“This is a post to brag.”

“This is another piece that illustrates the problems of the rich. As a regular citizen, I can only feel amused,” commented another user.

One user jokingly said, “Other people’s husbands are always the best.”

“Why does the husband of others never disappoint?”

Other users pointed out how lucky the wife is and that the husband should either leave the wife or communicate properly with her about her spending.

“Change your wife. If she doesn’t think you’re great, then end the trouble.”

Another commented, “You should talk to her about her spending. Communication is key, if you both have no idea what each other is thinking about, then it’s unfair.”

RM30,000 for a monthly income is no small feat as not many Malaysians can achieve that even after years of working. Regardless, do you think the man should’ve brought more money home?
