If you’re a fan of cats, you’re probably aware that oyens, a playful term used to describe orange-coloured cats, are low-key mischievous menaces to society – in the best way possible!
However, one man may have more challenges bonding with this specific oyen due to its persistent disdain for him. In a clip posted by TikTok user @sweetbyzaf, the user shared a moment that occurred between her husband and her pet cat named Niko.
Wearing a helmet, the user’s husband picks up Niko, who is meowing with some frustration in his voice. Turning the cat to face him, Niko begins to swat the man in the face multiple times, even attempting to push off his helmet in the process.
All while holding him with a light-hearted grin on his face, the man doesn’t seem bothered by Niko’s behaviour. After deciding he had enough, Niko made a short fuss before the man put him on the floor.
Known online as Niko the Boxing Cat, Niko’s owner said that he used to be her cat before she got married to her husband.
“After I got married, Niko went to live with my parents in Sungai Petani, Kedah. After that, his demeanour changed a little, and he’s not a fan of my husband,” she said light-heartedly to WORLD OF BUZZ.
Thoroughly enthused by the display, many commenters couldn’t help but throw out funny jokes at the man’s expense, with many saying that Niko was truly ready to fight.
“Careful when you sleep at night, suddenly he will come and defecate on your mattress in revenge,” jokingly wrote one user.
On the other hand, another user suggested that it may have been the position which Niko was lifted that could have annoyed him. However the poster of the video stated that whichever position it may have been, Niko would still likely try to fight.
