The virtual world can be very dangerous and many fall victim to it. Even so, that is no excuse as it is us who feeds it.
It has become an unfortunate norm when we hear cases of nude pictures being leaked due to vengeance or sex tapes being uploaded without mutual consent. Like the infamous sex tape that once went viral, the “Cikgu Tudung Hijau” incident.
Recently, an innocent TikTok video was uploaded by a young girl of her replying to a comment from her previous video. The comment states that she should drink loads of water to heal her chapped lip. The young girl responds by agreeing and saying she would do it immediately.
However, because the young girl was wearing a light green headscarf and a black shirt in the video, the comments section overflowed with lewd replies of her resembling “Cikgu Tudung Hijau”, who at the time also wore the same colour coded attire.
“It’s the same… don’t wear a green headscarf sis”, mocks a netizen.
“The Green Headscarf dares show herself???”
“Isn’t this sister in my phone (gallery)?” a netizen provokes.
“Please don’t wear a green hijab sis, it reminds me of ‘my ex’.”
“The shirt and the headscarf look familiar, oh no…”
She has gone to the cops
Some perp with too much time in their hands decided to edit her face as the character in the viral sex tape! According to a recent article by Kosmo, she has made a police report against the schmuck!
“The student did in fact come to the police station and make a report about her TikTok video that was edited without her consent, to a point where she was harassed sexually“, said Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, Ketua Polis Daerah Melaka Tengah.
This case has been referred to MCMC in blocking the video from further viewing.
Here’s how netizens fought back to defend the girl:
“Do you see how sick humans in comment sections can be”, slams a netizen.
“The ones that say ‘hurm looks familiar’ or ‘hi teacher’, aren’t you embarrassed of yourselves?”
No woman has to be a victim of any kind of abuse, and harassment makes it no less!
