Some of us have always struggled with weight, and as time goes by, we figure out what is good for our bodies and what is not.
This man, Norazman, was a teacher who was overweight and at his heaviest, he was about 130KG, reported mStar. He then started to diet and exercise, which caused him to lose 65KG in 3 years time! Impressive! So impressive in fact that mStar themselves called him handsome – and we have to agree!

What motivated him to turn a new leaf and live a healthier lifestyle was his really high blood pressure during his time in Sabah. During one high blood pressure attack, he was in the ambulance and thought about his wife and child being left without him, and that was his turning point.
He also shared other difficulties that he has faced about his weight as well. For example, clothes are hard to come by and the only ones that fit are those which are tailor-made, and he also had to pay more for school corporate shirts as they require more material. Other than that, he said that going to the toilet was a difficulty as he wasn’t able to reach certain parts. He added,
“I go to theme parks but I can’t even go on rides. All I can do is look at people enjoying themselves.”
He shared that one of the most embarrassing moments he faced was when he sat down on a chair, and it broke because it could not support his weight. This did not only happen just once, but three or four times – to the point that he had to sit on two chairs at once to be safe.

However, the thing is, it’s not that he didn’t want to lose weight all along, but it’s just that he couldn’t find the proper way to do it that was suitable for his body.
“I tried going to the gym, eating laxatives, not eating rice, jogging, products, pills and juices but in the end, nothing worked.”
But it all changed when he met someone, a colleague who had lost 40kg prior to this! This colleague showed him what to eat, and when his weight reached 99kg, he started exercising.

At first, his wife thought that he was just fooling around but after seeing his weight decrease, she was there for him and supported him by cooking healthy meals and eating them together with him. Awwww!
Cikgu Norazman said that his weight is still not ideal yet and he needs to lose more weight, but he’s positive now and knows that it is all a product of continuous effort!
