Buying things from e-commerce sites has become the norm now. Throughout the years, we have learnt to be smarter in our purchases by consulting the reviews page first.
However, sometimes the reviews given may not be accurate.
A Shopee seller has gone to Twitter to talk about a frustrating situation that she faced recently.
Entahlah, kita buat kerja sehabis baik dah. Kami selalu pastikan barang customer sampai in perfect condition. Dapat pulak customer tak guna macam ni. Im so frustrated?????? pic.twitter.com/NeOPRCtdEm

The seller named Pir noticed that she had received a 3-star rating in one of her orders and in order to know what was wrong with it, she contacted the buyer to ask.
“Is there anything wrong with the order? If there is, can you tell us so that we can improve our services? Thank you.”
The buyer replied and said that there was actually nothing wrong with the order. Pir was perplexed and asked why the buyer gave her a 3-star rating then.
“Then why did you give us a 3-star rating? I see that your parcel reached within 3-5 days and we made sure to check the item before sending it out.”
The reply that came back was: “I don’t know.”
Even hearing about it is frustrating!
Ratings are very important to sellers as it determines their reputation and credibility. So, when a bad rating comes in, their shop performance might plummet.
Pir explained that a low rating with no reasoning is very damaging to a seller’s reputation and not many people know how the rating system works.
Following the advice of the netizens, Pir has since reported the review and Shopee has removed it.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Pir says,
“I hope people will be more mindful when leaving reviews/ratings on any sellers’ page.”
When you have a problem with your order, be sure to contact the seller first to reach an agreement on the steps to take.
One bad review may cost someone their livelihood so, we have to be smart about it.
