Imagine the shock of a lifetime when a Malaysian from Raub, Pahang, found out that his water bills amounted to a shocking total of RM144,625!

This was what happened to a Facebook user who recently posted a snapshot of his Air Pahang water bill in the “We Are All People From Raub Facebook group, to which he jested “Can I file for bankruptcy?”

Most probably a clerical issue with Air Pahang, the amount of water the user used the previous month clocked in at a paltry RM71.05!

The Malaysian man was quoted for the usage of 99,740m3 of water, equivalent to roughly 99,740,000.00 liters of water, or in terms of 1.5 liters of Coca-Cola bottles, that’s a total of 66,493,333 bottles!

Netizens were amused

Netizens, as usual, jumped onto the comments section to dish out their keen observations and humorously commented on him being the reason they are all out of water in their homes.

Not enough water funny

While the Malaysian man did not disclose what type of business he is running or if he managed to clarify the issue with the authorities, one netizen cheekily commented that he might have been running a water theme park, which would make sense.

Finally, another netizen did some mental arithmetic on how much water can a small family use with that amount. According to his calculations, if the family uses roughly RM20 a month in water usage, which equals RM240 a year, the RM144,625 amount will provide approximately 600 years of uninterrupted water for the family!

600 years usage

What do you think, what would you do with that much amount of water? Let us know in the comments below!
