As pandemic restriction eases, many people would choose to head over to malls to kill time. That being said, malls are usually filled with people walking around and sometimes, being in crowded places like these may result in scammers looking for their victims.

Just yesterday, a Malaysian girl named Khai Yuen shared her experience while waiting for her boyfriend at a mall in Kuala Lumpur.

In her post she said,

“Right after I ended work, I waited for my boyfriend outside of a mall in KL. Suddenly, a woman walked in front of me and started saying a bunch of things that I don’t understand. I wasn’t looking at her directly when she was speaking to me, and I could feel my body going numb.”

Khai Yuen mentioned that she felt like something wasn’t right and walked away from the lady immediately. Thankfully, the lady didn’t pester her and walked away as well. As she was holding her phone, she decided to follow the lady and film her.

She then saw that the lady met up briefly with another man and woman. Khai Yuen described that the man was pushing a baby stroller but there was no baby inside.

After following them for a short while, she mentioned that the lady then split up with her 2 partners and went straight to a man who appears to be waiting by the roadside.

“She did the same thing and stood there while talking to him and moments later the man opened his bag and took something out for her. After she took it, she walked away from the man and all the man did was stare”, she added.

Words in picture translate to: he gave her something, but he wasn’t looking at her at all.

She mentioned that she wanted to continue following the lady but since her boyfriend arrived, she just decided to head home.

“When I got into my boyfriend’s car, my body was still feeling a little numb and I think I should’ve been more careful”, she said

Khai Yuen then ended her post by advising netizens who frequent that area to be careful as they could potentially fall victim to their scam. She mentioned that the reason she wasn’t as aware was because the area is usually filled with tourists, and she genuinely thought the lady needed help with directions.
